Out in the bush we saw something whooshing away from a fresh kill. Always having some Cuddeback cameras in the vehicle, we set some around this black-faced impala. The cheetah obviously got itself a nice dinner there. Cheetahs are quite rare in our study area. So this was an exciting observation. This a free-ranging individual, not living in captivity and clearly a good hunter even in some thick bush areas.

Occasionally, but more often that one would expect, roe deer visiting my Swedish garden get caught in Cuddeback crossfire!

Some specimens of elaphus deer, typical of the Italian Apennine area. The elaphus deer breeds in late summer. To attract females and frighten competitors, he emits a powerful verse, the roar . In this period (but also later, if a female has not been impregnated and emits hormones), duels in which antler are used are frequent.

Roe deer are a dime a dozen and almost daily fare, but moose are a bit more irregular. They walk right through the garden by day or by night. Two of the cameras are mounted on either side of the kitchen door.

On the trail of the wolf pack .... they are finally photographed in front of my cuddeback attack! The wolf naturally returned to France from Italy. How lucky to have 3 wolves in the same photograph.
