This is Brooks, our 14-plus year old terrier rescue who weighs 18 pounds. He took off around the house and by the time my wife caught up, the bear was heading into the woods and Brooks was celebrating. It wasn’t until we checked our trail camera that we found how close Brooks and the bear interacted.

These were taken on the latest camera we installed. We set it up originally to watch for people coming into our property. As it turned out, it became the busiest camera of the 14 we have, but for wildlife, not people. What a great end result!

I always start running the cameras early to catch pictures of the fawns in the summer months. Our white doe has always had brown fawns until this year. I was starting to get worried that she wouldn't have a fawn this year because I had not gotten a picture with her and a fawn until today.
