The first photo of the Leopard's cub on our farm. Very curious and was eager to greet us. A baboon on our farm wanted us to know that they are also watching us even though we don't know it. A big bush pig doing its round on our farm; terrified that other predators might find it.

This camera is located at a spotted hyena den in a protected green space within Lilongwe city, Malawi, Southern Africa. It is part of Carnivore Research Malawi's urban carnivore research project. Southern African porcupines are frequent captures on our den cameras, and share the dens with the hyenas on a rotational movement between all the dens we monitor. Image 1 shows a porcupine chasing a young hyena away from one of the den entrances. Image 2 shows porcupines mating, a behavior we suspect is rarely seen, and potentially dangerous for the male. Image 3 shows a porcupine with a young baby, perhaps the results of the captured mating encounter.
