I deployed the camera trail in the frequently used path by these Golden Jackals and I hoped to get good images. It took me about a week before I managed to get this image and the image quality came out brilliant, in the image they are seen socializing. This was captured in the state of Rajasthan, India.

Approaching Valentine's day in such an unusual time, we have been extremely fortunate to find solid evidence addressing one of life, and love's, biggest mysteries! How do porcupines, one of the largest and most prickly rodent species in the world, make babies? The answer, as you'll see, is: extremely carefully! In a cave, near Rooi-Els in South Africa, frequented by wildlife of all shapes and sizes, including baboons and leopards, two consenting (an important and necessary thing!) adult porcupines picked just the right night to kickstart the next generation!

I was conducting a study of biodiversity in institutional campuses in India. Call it beginners luck or not. These were my first captures. 1. Indian Jungle Cat 2. Small Indian Civet 3. A curious Black-naped Hare checking the camera-trap.

Two big bucks hooking horns at our feeder near Shepherd Texas. The photo was taken on Dec.29,2020. I wonder if they were fighting over who would get to eat first. please note: I couldn't put in the correct Photo Location or the Camera model number because the field wouldn't let me scroll down. The correct location is USA and the camera is a J model

Use of photographic capture–recapture analyses to estimate abundance of species with distinctive natural marks has become an important tool for monitoring rare or cryptic species, or both. We use this method to estimate lynx densities in Switzerland (Canton de Fribourg, Service des forêts et de la nature).
